On Floating Midnight

It's weird to think that even though life takes you in all these different directions the past still seems to play tricks on you. For about a month I had been looking forward to see my friend Michael Richards down at the Twig Bookstore here in San Antonio as he had a book signing for FLOATING MIDNIGHT, his latest book. So I made my way down to the bookstore last Friday. It was truly enjoyable.
Even though I know Michael as a friend and as a Ph.D. student I never thought I would react to him the way I did. It just comes to show that you never really know everyone you know, you know? At any rate, it was an awesome experience and he really captured his audience with his collection of short stories.
He reminded me of a guy I used to know. He might still be writing, I am not sure. I hope that someday he too can publish a book and share his stories with a bigger audience. In the meantime, we can all read Floating Midnight by Michael G. Richards. His style really captures the essence of his characters. His stories are inspiring.

Although his site has not been updated you can learn more about the author at www.michaelgrichards.com.
